Coaches interested in participating in are required to submit an online Intent-to-Enter form on the Meet Registration page by 8:00pm Eastern, Friday, September 7, 2018 to enable them to acquire an ACCEPTED/CONFIRMED status for event registration in Athletic.net. The meet is limited to the first 15 Small High School Teams (Class S, SS, M) and the first 15 Large High School Teams (Class MM, L, LL) to submit their Intent to Enter form. Please note that classes M and MM may change divisions based on registration of teams to have more equal race sizes. The decision to move the group will be determined after team registration closes.

Important Notes: The entry fee must be paid once a coach files an Intent to Enter form unless sufficient notice is given to the meet director prior to the Intent to Enter deadline so that another school can be allowed entry into the meet. Since there is a team entry limit, any team/school that withdraws from the meet without contacting the Meet Director or after the Intent to Enter deadline is required to pay for half of the entry fee. Entry fees MUST be paid prior to the meet or a copy of an approved school P.O. submitted prior to the meet.

38th Stratton Brook Invite Features Victories by Smith, Staples, Edwards, Deily, Northwestern, Desmarais, Shepaug Valley

The complete meet results are available below for the 38th Stratton Brook Invitational as posted by MySportsResults.com on the Results page sponsored by soundRUNNER Team Nights with stores in Branford, Fairfield, Glastonbury and Old Saybrook. The meet was held at Stratton Brook Park  in Simsbury, CT on Saturday, September 15, 2018.

The meet featured team victories by the Staples Boys team in the Varsity Large race as they edged runner-up Glastonbury by a 33-40 score. Jacob Smith of Glastonbury was the race winner in 16:50 for the 5km course.

The Girls Varsity Large race team title was captured by Staples as well as their runners took five of the top ten places for 29 points over runner-up Simsbury with 66 points. Dagny Edwards of Simsbury was the individual winner in 20:17 on the 5km course.

The Boys Varsity Small race was won by Byron Deily of The Gilbert School in 17:54 on the 5k course while the Northwestern Boys team scored 33 points for the title over second place Shepaug Valley with 88 points.

Maegan Desmarais of Thomaston won the Girls Varsity Small race in 22:07 over the 5k course as Shepaug Valley Girls won the team title with 42 points to defeat runner-up Granby Memorial with 71 points.

The final Team Entry reports for the 38th Stratton Brook Invitational have been made available on the Meet Reports page for coaches to review.

1. Please address any further meet administration questions to meet directors: Erik Petersen (email: erikcp2232@gmail.com ) and Megan Shumway (email: mshumway@simsbury.k12.ct.us ). Please include your school name and contact phone number in all correspondence.

2. Do not send any emails for scratching athletes from the meet.

3. Entry fees MUST be paid prior to the meet or a copy of an approved school P.O. submitted prior to the meet.

4. On race day, run only 7 VARSITY ATHLETES for the Boys and Girls Varsity Races. All other non-varsity high school athletes can run in the JV races. There is no need to decide who runs in which race until race day. You may run an unlimited number of athletes in the non-varsity races however, they must run with their assigned number.

The Team Entry reports for the 38th Stratton Brook Invitational have been made available on the Meet Reports page for coaches who have completed their event entries by the entry deadline.

  1. Please make sure that you have entered all the athletes that are going to compete in the meet.
  2. Do not send any emails for scratching athletes from the meet.

Athletic Net Event Entry Opens on 8/27/2018

Athletic.Net Event Entry is available on 8/27/2018 for coaches who have submitted their Intent to Enter form. Coaches interested in attending the meet with their teams are required to submit an Intent to Enter at the meet website prior to registering their athletes for the meet in Athletic.net.

Finish your meet registration with your Athletic Net event entries by 6:00 pm Eastern, Sunday, September 9, 2018.
