Important Update for 9th Sloper Relays on 10-3-2019
09-30-2019 - 2:00pm
Attention Coaches: The weather is not looking good (again) for Thursday. We'll be hoping for that to change. Please be sure to check your email by noon on Thursday before you leave to confirm that the race is still on. If you haven't RSVP'd again for the race, please email me Coach Dachelet at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If we get rain prior to race, we may make some adjustments to keep the course off of the grass and just on the pond loop. This may also affect our ability to park on all spots at Sloper. We can use all 4 pavilions for athletes but doubtful everyone will fit. First come first serve. If you have a tent it'll be a good idea to bring it.
Regardless of the weather, we will be making the following timeline adjustments to the meet with the goal of getting all races completed by 5:15pm. Although Southington has had not had any cases of EEE or found any EEE mosquitos, we're going to err on the side of caution. If you have teams in the 50-plus minute category for the high school race and 15 minutes or longer in the girls Middle School race, we may ask you to get your athletes time so that we can reset the timing system reset for the next race.
Also, we will NOT be having an awards ceremony. Instead we will have a tent set up near concessions where individual and team awards will be handed out. Please give us a bit to get the results to the table.
New Race Timeline:
3:45 - high school
4:40 - girls middle school
5:00 - boys middle school

- Do not send any emails for scratching athletes from the meet.
- IMPORTANT NOTE: Event Entries from the teams listed below that are crossed out in the High School Entries Report are because coaches erred in submitting their Coed Event Entries that didn't contain the correct number of the Male and Female athletes as stated in the Registration Instructions.
Meet Director Dan Dachelet is providing an alternate 1.5mi non-relay race option for those athletes without an assigned bib# so that they can still participate in the meet experience. Coaches will need to time their own athletes.
